P2P and A2I submissions closing

All batches are completing their Lab sessions for P2P and A2I today, 1April 2013.

Many of you have not submitted the question in the form of Multiple Choice type. I had requested you to submit the question in the form of Multiple Choice or True/False or Match or Fill in Blank type. I notice that the "Fill in the blank" type questions are not of objective type. Therefore, I request that please do not submit any questions of "fill in the blank" type. A2I (Marketing To Opportunity) Lab 22nd, 25th March and 1st April

The Friday batch of Lab has already completed the A2I exercise on 22nd March.
The Monday batch has completed A2I exercise on 25th March.
The Saturday batch was scheduled on 30th March. but as many students will not be available on 30th due to proximity of holidays, their Lab session is postponed to Monday, 1st April evening 5:30pm.

Lab Assessment

As you are all aware that the Lab work will be assessed for 30 marks. The breakup of all marks for this course is as under:
T1 test                  10  completed
Midsem exam      30  completed
Lab work             30 
End sem exam     30

Your T1 and midsem exam marks are already submitted to exam cell.

Lab work will be assessed as under:
ERP Product study revised 2nd submission and presentation   10
P2P exercise and P2P related question     5
A2I exercise and A2I related question      5
O2C exercise and O2C related question   5
PM exercise and PM related question      5
The last day for completion of P2P exercise and Question is the first day when your batch will start A2I exercise. Therefore, the last day for submission of P2P exercise and question for Friday batch will be 22nd March. For Monday batch it will be 25th and for Saturday batch it will be 30th March. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Wed 20th March Lecture

We will have a joint lecture session for all students in Production Engg department as usual.

We will review the "Marketing to Opportunity" scenario. Marketing to Opportunity is also referred as Awareness to Inquiry or A2I for short. Next week you are expected to complete the A2I exercise, read through the book on Marketing available on ByD Help and the Scenario explorer presentation also available from ByD Help. All these documents are also stored in Moodle for your ready reference.

Your last week exercise and question forms for P2P scenario should be submitted by end of this week, before you start work on A2I scenario.

Financial transactions Lab 15th, 18th and 23rd March

As explained in our last meeting, we will now have 3 batches for completing Lab exercises. By this time you must have already completed the P2P scenario steps upto creating the Purchase orders. Now please proceed to complete the remaining process steps, primarily related to financial transactions. After completing all process steps, fill in the feedback/ input form which was shared with you few weeks ago at http://goo.gl/4UOXQ  Please fill in all the document numbers that you created while completing the P2P scenario tasks.

In our last lecture, I had informed you to be watchful while executing your exercise steps and understand each field on the screen. Dont just execute exercise steps in a mechanical manner. You are now therefore requested to study one field thoroughly with all the online help information available on ByD and prepare an objective question for that field. You can prepare a question either of the following 4 types - multiple choice question, True/False, Fill in the blanks or Match.

P2P Accounting 11th March 2013

I hope you have had real good time in last week. You did a great job. Great events, excellent planning, team work and energy. Congratulations!

Most of you have completed the P2P exercise upto creating the Purchase Order. The following process steps have accounting effect. SAP ByD automatically creates all related financial transactions. We will first review these accounting effects and then you can proceed to complete the remaining process steps of P2P scenario.

Today's presentation slides about Accounting are uploaded on Moodle. However, you do not have access to Moodle. Therefore, I have uploaded the slides on Google Docs. Here is the link to access the slides http://goo.gl/ZB726

I notice that many students are unable to complete the exercises in the specified time because I am not able to provide personal attention to them. Therefore, from next week, I propose to have extra Lab sessions. We will make 3 separate batches (about 28 students in each batch) All of you will attend one 2 hour Lab session  on either Monday, Wednesday or Friday. In addition, we will have one joint classroom session every Wednesday morning. Based on your team performance until midterm, I have made 3 batches for Lab sessions as under.

Monday 8:30 AM to 10:30AM

Saturday 9:30AM to 11:30AM

4 March - P2P exercise, MidSem Marks & Assignment Peer Review


We had started P2P exercise on Friday 2nd March. Only 2 teams were successful in completing the  exercise upto the point of Purchase Order. All teams are requested to complete all steps of the exercise today. While completing the exercise please remember to note down every document being created in the system. Before th eend of the Lab session, please fill in the feedback form and inform the details of all documents you have cerated during the Lab session at http://goo.gl/4UOXQ

Your T1 and midsem exam marks are now published in a spreadsheet in Moodle at a location immediately after the MidSem exam quizz. Any corrections required  that you had identified have been already incorporated.

You have submitted ERP Product study assignment on Moodle for the 2nd time. Unfortunately, I notice that majority students have not submitted your assignments in the MSWord template format. Any submission which is not in the specified MSWord template form will not be acceptable. You will have to reformat your documents and resubmit it. I would also like your documents peer reviewed before resubmission to ensure that your documents are complete and as per specified requirements before you resubmit it.
